Is this list being archived?  I ask because I just decided to clean out
my (now massive) rc and es folders, and it would be nice if someone was
saving all the pearls of wisdom floating by.

P.S. Re: echo.  I'd much prefer to see the redirection handled
efficiently by the shell than any amount of mucking with command
switches.  If "foo >[4=5]" doesn't work well enough, that's serious
enough to warrant direct action, not yet another workaround (please!).

P.P.S. Re: gnu echo.  Anyone looked at gnu hello world 1.1?
