Regarding the "local vs. let" discussion a while back, Paul and
I have decided to swap the meanings of local and let.

I know this is a little abrupt, but we wanted to make a decision
before the Usenix paper deadline, and I thought I might give the
list advance notification.

We're sorry if we've been neglecting es lately; I've been swamped
at work, and Paul has been ill. Once the Usenix paper is out of
the way, then we will concentrate on the software some more, so
that we can have a new release ~early December. (possibly including
the much-awaited man page :-)
