ignoring the discussion of estimating completion times for programs (i'll  
leave that for the job that pays my salary), i will note that it's slated  
for es version 1.8 (see the TODO file).  since we had intended to release  
version 1.0 at the same time as we gave the usenix paper, i wouldn't hold  
my breath.

ps: speaking of es releases, i had planned to release a new version this  
week, but the debate over what to replace <> with has pushed back that  
date a little.  hopefully monday.
