Re: feeping creatures, again

WARNING: I'm an unwashed heathen who wouldn't recognise lambda calculus
if it painted itself purple and started dancing on the tables. I just
happen to use a computer about half the time I'm at work. (Dammit,
Jim, I'm an astronomer not a computer scientist!)

That said, es has two things that rc doesn't (a) lambda, and (b)
hooks; I say get rid of (a) and keep (b).

No, this isn't a serious suggestion, but I do have a concern that
perhaps es is trying to break too much ground at once, and suffering in
the process. Perhaps, it would have been better to gain experience
with the two sides of es separately before bringing them together. Of
course, what has happened has happened, and neither lambda nor the
hooks are going to disappear. That es has managed to successfully
bring so many new concepts into a shell is astounding, and one can only
trust to the impressive skill, wisdom, and insight that Paul and Byron
have shown so far.

I'm going to go to Hell for that suggestion, aren't I?

Alan.
