not offended at all.  some of my favorite things are toys.

please, humankind, even if es is currently only appreciated by half
of the species.

i'm also sorry i started this with my first aside about no women
participating on the list.  (for the record, i didn't mean to
offend anyone and i'm very upset by the clubby, all-male feel of
the es list, the unix community, and our field in general.  but,
please, let's not turn this list into a discussion of gender
issues.)
