es and emacs

Now that the traffic on the list is intense enough to have ruined
everybody's day already, let me just throw one more question at you:
I suppose at least some people out there use emacs to edit es scripts.
So what mode do you use?  Is there any standard mode that can be
easily adapted to the task, or has anyone written something special?

(And speaking of editors, I heard this one story about when Bill Joy
(author of `vi') was asked what editor he himself usually used for
programming.  The answer was `cat'.  I am not saying I believe this
story, but I like it.)
