aliases and environment variables would be set, but one would never have to save them into .bashrc statements to be set on next "virgin" login. instead, the shell gets resumed. that's it! what happens when the machine goes down, or when you log into another machine? this seems an interesting idea, but my first instinct is to run away from it. feels like there's something worthwhile lurking though.
