es-0.8 warning

it seems that control-c (sigint) handling in es-0.8 is worse than i had
thought.  i'll look into this right away and (hopefully) send out a patch
real soon.  the problem is that some of the time (most of the time?) es
starts running immediately after a control c, even if the application
being run (e.g., mail or ed) catches the control c.  this worked in 0.79
so it shouldn't be so hard to track down, but i am a little concerned.
