well, including your six, we've probably reached the double-digit range.

i've been treating the user base as a group of people willing to experiment
with the understanding that the shell is still undergoing substantive changes.
hopefully, the replacement for <> will be the last big change before release
to the rest of the world (aka, announcement on USENET).  at that time, it's
going to pretty much freeze for several months except for bug fixes.
